Jemming Farm

The Jemming farm in Kahler, certified organic since 2009 and a member of the BIO-OVO cooperative, opened a modest self-service fridge several years in front of the family home to sell its Eggs&Hopp branded eggs. Other items occasionally offered include potatoes, egg pasta (a collaboration with Dudel Magie) and homemade seasonal products.
The Jemming farm has 1100 free-range chickens, which lay around 1000 eggs a day. Lynn notes that buying direct from the farm is a win-win situation, offering farmers a better price margin while ensuring that you get the freshest products. "The eggs in our self-service fridge were collected that same morning,” Lynn says. Families are welcome to visit the farm to see the animals, which also include Limousine cows and several friendly dogs.
